How to try and stem the tide of
bad pop up's.

Hopefully you have adhered to my suggestions to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7, which in my opinion makes the grade for a decent web browser.
I know the people who love Netscape and other browser are yelling at this point but the fact remains it is included and has better tech support than the others and is constantly being upgraded as things (security holes) come to light (evolve).

Now with that being said here is what I do and it doesn't take a third party to do it.
In Internet Explorer 6 and 7 under Tools (top title bar) is a pop-up blocker that works for free.

This a screen shot of the settings page please not I have it set to Medium and I don't seem to
be bothered by Pop-ups at all. I get a tan box at the top asking me if I want to add them
(pop-ups to the allowed section).
This means I want to get the pop-up's from these sites listed and all others are blocked till I say so!

Be careful of any that get thru (pop-ups) asking you to click here to get rid of Spyware or Virus's as these are always malware.
Please check out our other sections for quick tidbits like this one.
